Associate Professor of Medicine in the Cardiovascular Division Dr. Joel Schilling along with his band South of Sanity played a show at a recent St. Louis Blues hockey game pep rally at the Enterprise Center. Joining the band on drums was heart transplant recipient Rodney Cochran.
“It’s truly an amazing celebration of Rodney Cochran, who underwent a transplant,” Dr. Joel Schilling said. “To be here able to get up on stage! In fact, he’s probably in better shape than I am! It’s really outstanding! Probably one of the most meaningful performances I’ve ever had.”
2025 marks the 40th Anniversary of the WashU Medical heart transplant program!
