The Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Team has the most active advanced heart failure program in the region, providing innovative medical and state-of-the art surgical solutions for patients with cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and cardiogenic shock. The program is the only program to offer durable mechanical circulatory left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) in the region, and has performed over 1,000 heart transplants in 30-plus years of clinical experience.

The Advanced Heart Failure program is actively engaged in performing clinical, basic and translational research. The program also offers a one-year ABIM certified training program in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation.
