Graduate Students

Students enrolled in the Washington University Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences (DBBS) who are carrying out thesis work in laboratories of training faculty affiliated with the Integrative and Systems Biology of Cardiovascular Disease Program (T32 HL143635) are eligible to participate in the program. Nominations should be submitted by the thesis advisor to the Program Director and will be considered by the program steering committee. For students who are carrying out cardiovascular disease research in laboratories of mentors not already affiliated with the program, the mentor should directly contact Dr. Nerbonne (jnerbonne@wustl.edu).

Postdocs

MD, PhD, and MD/PhD postdoctoral trainees who are working in laboratories of training faculty affiliated with the Integrative and Systems Biology of Cardiovascular Disease Training Program (T32 HL143635, Program Director: Jeanne Nerbonne) and the Principles of Cardiovascular Research Training Program (T32 HL007081, Program Director: Abhinav Diwan) are eligible to participate in the Program. Nominations should be submitted by the training mentor to the Program Directors and will be considered by the program steering committees. Trainees who are carrying out cardiovascular disease research in laboratories of mentors not already affiliated with the programs, the mentor should directly contact Dr. Nerbonne (jnerbonne@wustl.edu) and Dr. Diwan (adiwan@wustl.edu).

  3. Candidate’s complete CV
  4. Letters of recommendation
    1. Predoctoral candidates: include one letter from prior research supervisor or from a Washington University faculty other than the mentor who is familiar with the student’s performance in DBBS
    2. Postdoctoral candidates: include 2 faculty letters in addition to the mentor’s letter of nomination. For those candidates with PhD degree, one of these letters must be from PhD advisor.
