Patient Care
The Cardiovascular Division at Washington University is a national leader in the delivery of high quality, innovative cardiovascular care to a large patient population.
The Division, in partnership with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. Patient care within the cardiovascular division is divided into thirteen traditional diagnostic and/or therapeutic areas, as well as seven Centers of Excellence.
What distinguishes a Center of Excellence from a diagnostic or therapeutic area is that each of the centers are composed of multidisciplinary teams of experienced physicians and nurses from different sub-specialties who are fully integrated in order to provide seamless care for the primary, secondary and tertiary needs of patients with complex cardiovascular disease.
