Nancy Sweitzer, MD, PhD, Director of Clinical Research for the Division of Cardiology and Vice Chair of Clinical Research for the Department of Medicine was named in a recent article by Becker’s ASC Review as one of 5 Cardiology Leaders to Watch in 2025.

“Dr. Sweitzer is vice chair of clinical research in the department of medicine and director of clinical research for the cardiovascular division at Washington University School of Medicine. A physician-scientist specializing in heart failure and transplant cardiology, she has led landmark clinical trials exploring heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and multi-organ interactions in advanced cardiac disease. Dr. Sweitzer is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association and the Heart Failure Society of America. She also serves as editor-in-chief of Circulation: Heart Failure and has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications.”
