McNeely Joins Cardiovascular Division

Christian McNeely, MD has joined the Division as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, serving as a faculty member in the Interventional Cardiology Section and as Lead Physician in the West County Cardiology Clinic. Dr. McNeely earned his MD at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, graduating with honors and elected to AOA, and then completed residency training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology Fellowship, and Interventional Cardiology subspecialty fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.  During training, he was recognized with the Knowlton Incentive for Clinical Excellence Award from BJH.

After completing training in 2022, he joined SSM Healthcare, St. Joseph – St. Charles and Lake Saint Louis, where he developed a large ambulatory cardiology practice. He also served as Director of Interventional Cardiology for SSM Healthcare, St. Louis Region, and a member of the St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles Multidisciplinary STEMI Committee. Dr. McNeely is proficient in all aspects of coronary and peripheral interventions, as well as general cardiology, and has distinguished himself as an outstanding clinician and teacher. He will expand the scope and practice of Wash U interventional cardiology, and to plans to grow the clinical cardiology practice at West County/HCI, Barnes-Jewish West County, and future outreach sites.
