Meet the 2026 First-Year Cardiovascular Fellows

The Division of Cardiology at WashU Medicine is pleased to welcome our 2026 class of first-year cardiovascular fellows. The class includes physicians who completed residency at institutions across the country, including Mayo Clinic, Yale University, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, the University of Washington, Case Western Reserve University, and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, as well as several fellows who trained here at Washington University and Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

In the slides below, each fellow shares what drew them to cardiology and what they love most about training at WashU Medicine and living in St. Louis. Their answers reflect the curiosity, compassion, and commitment that define our program. They also offer a firsthand look at what makes St. Louis such a rewarding place to live and train.

Our fellows join a Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship designed around the fact that every trainee brings different interests and career goals. All fellows begin with a shared foundation: two years of comprehensive clinical training that fulfills COCATS requirements and builds core competencies in cardiovascular medicine. From there, they can pursue one of three flexible, non-binding tracks.

Fellows who choose subspecialty training can also continue into one of our advanced fellowships, including electrophysiology, heart failure and transplant, interventional cardiology, structural heart, imaging, cardio-oncology and amyloidosis, and aortopathy.

To learn more about our newest fellows, including their backgrounds and training, visit the First-Year Fellows page or browse all Cardiology Fellows. To hear more from past trainees, visit Hear From Our Fellows, and to learn about joining the program, see the Application Process.

Please join us in welcoming our 2026 first-year fellows. We look forward to all they will accomplish at WashU Medicine and beyond.
