The multidisciplinary Structural Intervention group, including Cardiovascular Division faculty members Drs. Zajarias, Sintek, Lasala, and Quader, along with colleagues in Cardiothoracic Surgery, recently performed the first JenaValve procedure for aortic regurgitation at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital site.
The JenaValve procedure is a new treatment option for AR. From the manufacturer’s website:
“… for high-risk patients with severe, symptomatic aortic regurgitation a TAVI treatment option. Trilogy’s locators attach to the native leaflets for secure anchoring even in the absence of calcium, while ensuring commissural alignment.”
