Clinical Interests
I am a preventive and general cardiologist. I see patients for cardiovascular risk assessment and prevention of heart disease, including coronary artery calcium scoring, lipid disorders, elevated triglycerides, elevated lipoprotein(a), familial hypercholesterolemia, and statin intolerance, as well as high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, and a broad range of general cardiovascular conditions.
Research Interests
My research focuses on cardiovascular disease prevention and risk stratification, particularly the use of advanced tools such as coronary artery calcium scoring and other markers of subclinical atherosclerosis to identify who is most and least likely to benefit from preventive therapy. My current area of investigation is vascular resilience: why some adults at high risk do not develop coronary atherosclerosis, and what that may mean for how prevention is targeted.
