The Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital provides state-of-the art echocardiographic imaging, combined with a long tradition of clinical excellence and innovation. The Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory performs over 30,000 2-D echocardiograms per year, and is actively involved with structural heart imaging through the Valvular Heart Disease Center.

The physician staff of the Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory has unique extensive experience in performing echocardiographic studies, with expertise in diagnosing uncommon conditions, and are contributors to the second edition of the Washington Manual of Echocardiograpy.

The Cardiology Division, in partnership with the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, provides state-of-the-art multi-modality imaging, with an experienced staff of cardiac radiologists.
